Brea, CA (August 8, 2000) – Suzuki Marine has long been known for the strength of its three-year Limited Warranty coverage, and soon it will be getting even stronger. Beginning with the 2001 model year, all new 2001 Suzuki four-stroke outboards will be backed with an enhanced three-year Limited Warranty for pleasure users that covers major engine components for the entire three years.
"With the exception of a few ‘normal wear’ and external accessory items, what’s covered in the first year will be covered in the third," said Suzuki Marine’s Marketing Director Larry Vandiver. "This should provide even more peace of mind to Suzuki owners, and demonstrates how strongly we believe in the quality and dependability of our four-stroke motors," he added.
Suzuki was the first outboard manufacturer to back its products with a three-year Limited Warranty, and will continue to offer its industry-leading Suzuki Extended Protection Plan that provides boaters with a total of six years of protection. In addition, Suzuki will continue to offer its existing three-year Limited Warranty on its two-stroke outboard models from 5 to 225 horsepower.
This enhanced protection on Suzuki four-strokes will be welcome news to boat owners around the country. With four-stroke motors ranging from the portable 9.9/15 horsepower models to the brawny, new-for-2001 90 and 115 horsepower fuel-injected four-strokes, there’s a Suzuki for every type of boat – from car-toppers to offshore catamarans, and everything in between.
