How do you top off an exciting, rewarding season of tournament fishing? If you're Suzuki Marine, you take a very lucky group of anglers, dealers, and tournament directors to a land where sportfishing is king, palm trees sway in tropical breezes and good times are a way of life. Their destination - Key West, Florida.
That's just how Suzuki recently capped off its Catch & Reward™ 2000 tournament season, hosting Phil Sanchez, a pre-registered angler from Hardeeville, South Carolina; Kenny Ramagos, a $2,000-plus winner from New Roads, Louisiana; Paul Domangue of Terrebonne Marine in Houma, Louisiana, a new Suzuki dealer who sanctioned two tournaments its first year; and Julius Rainwater, a tournament director from El Dorado, Arkansas on the fishing vacation of a lifetime.
The group fished aboard Suzuki-powered boats with some of Key West's top light-tackle guides: Capt. Robert "RT" Trosset on the Spindrift, Capt. Greg Sherertz on the Calcutta, and Capt. Nick Malinovsky on the Mannetti. The first day they fished close to the island and enjoyed battling with everything from 100-pound-plus tarpon to tasty snapper. The second day they fished some of Key West's famous wrecks where they matched wits with speedy king mackerel and hard-fighting cobia.
Suzuki's Catch & Reward Tournament Bonus Program has rewarded anglers all across the nation with more than $900,000 since it began nine years ago. With Catch & Reward, anglers can win $1,000 when they finish first in a Suzuki-sanctioned tournament fishing from a Suzuki-powered boat. And whoever said "close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades" didn't know about Catch & Reward. Suzuki even pays out $250 to anglers who finish second or third!
Anglers can win up to $2,000 annually. For anglers who reach the maximum, there's still a great reason to keep on fishing - and winning. For each additional win, the angler's name goes into a hat for a special, separate drawing for Suzuki's annual fishing trip. Names of anglers who pre-register for Catch & Reward Tournaments, Suzuki dealers who endorse Catch & Reward Tournaments and tournament directors are also drawn at season's end for this exciting trip.
The current Catch & Reward season runs through November 30, 2001. To get in on the action, see your Suzuki Marine dealer or contact Suzuki Marine Catch & Reward Headquarters at 3251 E. Imperial Highway, Brea, CA 92821. Or call Kim Whitaker, Suzuki Catch & Reward Administrator at (714) 996-7040, ext. 2317.
