Suzuki 4 HP, 6 HP, 9.9 HP and 15 HP Now CARB 3-Star Rated
For 2005, Suzuki Marine's portable and compact 4-stroke outboards will be sporting a new badge: a California Air Resources Board (CARB) 3-Star rating insignia that names these four popular models "Ultra Low Emissions" outboards. "Our portable 4-strokes were already lean and mean performers for a wide variety of small boats, from tenders and canoes to jon boats and aluminum fishing skiffs," said Larry Vandiver, marketing director for Suzuki Marine. "We're proud that these motors have earned a 3-Star rating from CARB, starting with the 2005 model year. The quality of our air and health of our marine environment have always been very important to Suzuki," added Vandiver. Suzuki's portable 4-stroke outboard lineup includes the mini-might 4 HP and 6 HP models, engineered to deliver smooth, reliable performance in a go-anywhere package. These one-cylinder motors boast 138cc of displacement for some serious push, together with features like exclusive digital CDI ignition, compression reduction starting, F-N-R shifting and a built-in RPM limiter.
